If you saw my previous protein ball recipe, you know that I have a self-proclaimed sweet tooth problem. When the cookie dough version came into my life, I immediately started thinking of different flavor combinations to prevent burn out. Berries and cream with almond butter was the first one to come to mind, thus this recipe was born!
This recipe has protein, dried fruit, and of course some white chocolate. Did I eat an absurd amount of white chocolate chips while making these? Yes of course. But life is about balance people.
These are perfect for a sweet treat after dinner, packed in a lunch box, or a post-workout snack. These can also be frozen if you want to make a big batch all at once. If you love these, don’t forget to try my cookie dough version as well. Enjoy!

How to Make These Protein Balls
Please see recipe card at the bottom of this post for the full recipe details.
- Grind the oats. This is optional, but I think the texture turns out nice and chewy if you grind up the oats a little bit. In a blender or food processor, pulse the oats for a few seconds at a time until they are smooth. I did leave a few chunks but it is up to you!
- Mix. In a small bowl whisk together the almond butter, honey, maple syrup, and dash of salt if using. In a separate bowl combine the oats, protein powder, chia seeds, and hemp meal if using. Gently mix the dry ingredients, see photos below for reference. Now add the dry ingredients to the almond butter mixture until homogenous.
- Add ins. Now time to add the dried fruit and chocolate chips! I used a mixed berry blend from Aldi, and white chocolate chips. My berry mix had dried cranberries, cherries, and blueberries. Craisins or raisins would work great as well! I gave everything a rough chop but this is optional.
- Mix! Add in the dried fruit and white chocolate. Mix until everything is dispersed evenly.
- Roll. Roll the mixture into about 1 inch balls. You should get 12 protein balls out of the batch. Place the balls on a baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Enjoy for up to a week in the fridge!

Berries and Cream Protein Balls
Ingredients
Method
- First start by grinding the oats up a bit. This is optional, but I think the texture turns out nice and chewy if you grind up the oats a little bit. In a blender or food processor, pulse the oats for a few seconds at a time until they are smooth. I did leave a few chunks but it is up to you!
- Next, in a small bowl whisk together the almond butter, honey, maple syrup, coconut oil, and dash of salt if using. In a separate bowl combine the oats, protein powder, chia seeds, and hemp meal if using. Gently mix the dry ingredients, see photos below for reference. Now add the dry ingredients to the almond butter mixture until homogenous.
- Now time to add the dried fruit and white chocolate chips. I used a mixed berry blend from Aldi that had cranberries, blueberries, and cherries, but raisins or craisins would work great here. I gave everything a rough chop, and definitely tossed in a few extra white chocolate chips! Mix well.
- Time to roll! Roll each ball into about 1 inch. You should get roughly 12 protein balls per batch, depending on how much you eat before rolling out like me LOL. Place balls on a baking sheet in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Enjoy for up to a week in the fridge in an air tight container!
