When coming up with my Greek Lamb Pita recipe, I knew that I needed some type of feta element. I immediately thought of the “crazy” feta from Cava, and this is a rendition of that! This is so easy and delicious. It is perfect on greek bowls, greek pitas, or even topped onto a greek salad.
This uses a block of feta which I had never purchased before but now I will never go back! I used to buy feta crumbles, but the feta in a block is so flavorful and delicious. Roasting the jalapeño, garlic, and onion give a deep rich flavor that blends right into the feta. Brighten it up with some fresh lemon juice and it is perfect!
I even had my husband help me prep this batch, so ladies get your husbands in the kitchen and have them make this recipe alongside you! I usually can bribe him to cook with me if I offer him a Peaches and Cream Olipop which has been our new obsession lately!

How To Make Greek Whipped Feta
- Veggies. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees farenheit. Place the onion and jalapeño on a foil lined baking sheet. Place the jalapeño face down, and de-seed the jalapeño so you don’t have seeds in the final product! Wrap the whole garlic cloves in a little packet of aluminum foil. Drizzle everything generously with avocado oil. Roast for 15-20 minutes until the onion is charred and the jalapeño is blistered. Remove and set aside to cool.
- Food processor. You can also use a blender or immersion blender here. Add in the block of feta, I tear it into a few chunks so it fits. Add in lemon juice, greek yogurt, salt and pepper. Pulse in the food processor until relatively smooth. Now add in the roasted veggies. Squeeze the roasted garlic out of the skin right into the processor. Add in roasted onion and jalapeño. Pulse again until mixture is smooth.
- Serve! Taste and add salt or pepper if needed, serve alongside your favorite greek meal. Enjoy!
