Goat Cheese and Pepper Jelly Hawaiian Roll Sliders

Game day just got a whole lot tastier! These goat cheese and pepper jelly hawaiian roll sandwiches are the perfect crowd pleasing recipe. They come together quickly and only take 5 ingredients!
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes
Servings: 12 sliders

Ingredients

  • 12 pack Hawaiian Rolls
  • 8 oz sliced deli turkey
  • 8 oz plain goat cheese at room temp
  • ½ cup pepper jelly
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • sesame seeds for topping
  • red onion for topping
  • arugula for topping

Method

  1. First start with the goat cheese. If you have time to let the goat cheese get to room temperature, do so. If not and you forgot like me, place goat cheese in a bowl and microwave for 30 seconds to soften it up. Add the softened goat cheese to your stand mixer bowl (can use hand mixer here) and add a splash of milk (about a tsp). Let whip for 2 minutes until nice and fluffy. Set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350℉. Slice the entire connected sheet of Hawaiian rolls horizontally through the middle. That way we have a bottom bun layer, and a top bun layer. Remove the top layer carefully. Place the bottom layer onto a sheet pan so they are ready to go in the oven once assembled.
  3. Add sliced deli turkey in an even layer on the bottom buns. Spread whipped goat cheese evenly across the turkey. Microwave pepper jelly for 30 seconds in the microwave so it is runnier and will spread better. Pour pepper jelly over the goat cheese and spread pepper jelly so it is an even layer. Add top layer of buns back on top. Brush melted butter on top and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the goat cheese is oozing out and the tops are golden brown.
  5. Serve immediately and have the option to add red onion and arugula. I think the red onion adds a nice bite and cuts through the richness of the pepper jelly/goat cheese combo! Enjoy!

Notes

**If taking this to an event/part, assemble up until baking. Cover with foil and transport to your destination. Pop in the oven at the party so they can be served hot and fresh!
